I worked with Totem Skateboarding and Orange City Council to reinvigorate an important part of youth culture in their city.

In collaboration with artist Sonny Day, our focus has been to bring John Lomas Skatepark to life through bold splashes of colour and imagery driven by the people that use the space.

Snakes were a recurring theme which kept coming up in the community consultation. We found that a series of snakes throughout the skatepark would be perfect vectors for the built in guide lines. The artists took inspiration from the Highland Copperhead snake which is native to the Orange region.

This project was funded by NSW Government as part of the Graffiti Management Grant Program.
